Last year i took care of two strays, both female, named Mel and Johnny (my roommate and i thought it was funny. actually, we named Johnny after Johnny from The Room and later found out she was a female hahaha)
So! anyways we left for the summer and i was really worried when i got back and didn't see them for 2+ weeks that something had happened to them. My roommate informs me that she hadn't seen Mel for three weeks before she left, either, so we think something happened to her but.
TODAY when i left for class, high queen Johnathan was there, waiting for me. and meowing. she was clearly pissed at me.
Just for reference this cat is tiny, white and grey, with one eye that's whited out and scars all over her face. i kinda want to draw her but i can never get her to sit still. She's really skittish and i only just a few weeks before i left got her to let me pet her.
But! I fed the queen (wet food, my new roommate threw out all the dry food because it was attracting cockroaches) and i'm going to pick up some treats and whatnot for her while i'm out today! it lifted my mood greatly because i've been debating getting a dog but i don't have the money for a pet deposit right now.

WOW An UPDATE?!
Hey guys, it's been... some time. So... updates~! I PUBLISED MY BOOK!!! remember how i said i was gonna do that? Remember Quincy and Marlowe?? they're alive and well and i'm even working on a sequel! You can buy it here (and check out the hot cover by @beekakke while you're at it, it's insanely good and i'm so lucky to have had her do it) That's the big one. I'm very excited to talk about it - it's called The Unwanted Prophet (you may recognize it by the old working title, Take One God) and follows Quincy as she's made prophet by a god of death, and has to deal with his corrupt priesthood (Including Marlowe, my sweet baby boy.). The second book will feature new characters in a new country, but in the third i'm going to bring both parties together for some fun, secret shenanigans. If you want more frequent updates on that, i suggest following me at ninawolverina on twitter and tiktok and insta, where I never shut up. other than that, I'm gonna start posting what little character art
UPDATE AGAIN!
Lots going on in my world, not gonna lie Book editing is slow going, hugely in part to the fact that between my first and second draft i changed one character's gender and had to painstakingly root through the whole document to change every instance of her being referred to by male pronouns. not fun. BUT! I finally sent the final pre-edit draft to my editor and copy editing is a GO! it's out of my hands. i am no longer in the driver's seat. Now i just need to find a cover artist......... I have a couple on twitter that i'm looking into AND! I also bought this GORGEOUS map of my world from dcfantasymaps on instagram! his work is honestly incredible and i'm so happy with the result. Anyways, when it comes down to it, i'm doing fine... oh yeah, and i'm getting married in like two months which is equal parts nerve wracking and fun. All in all, i'm doing pretty great! Thank you for taking care of strays. It really makes my day when people take time to take care of animals. Look into getting them spayed/neutered if possible so they don't proliferate the plight of strays. I plan on looking into getting a therapy pet of my own, given all that's happened this year.
